14. Stormy nights.

Bright flashes of lightning illuminated my room, followed by the deafening roar of thunder, I couldn't help but feel a shiver of fear run down my spine. Despite my best efforts to remain calm, the relentless storm outside proved to be too much for me to handle.

This was the second time I had woken up that night, having already freshened up and eaten dinner that the twins had thoughtfully prepared for me. But now, as the rain pounded against the windows and the thunder rumbled ominously, I found myself paralyzed with fear.

I had always loved the rain, finding its soothing rhythm to be a source of comfort. However, the accompanying lightning and thunder were another story entirely. With each brilliant flash and booming roar, my anxiety grew more and more unbearable. The thin curtains did little to shield me from the dazzling display outside, leaving me feeling exposed and vulnerable in the darkness of my room.
