ZANE’S POV

Ever since that day at the Grill Bar where the Changeling almost claimed my life, it didn't appear anymore, nor did we get any report that an unusual thing happened.

Preparation for the Ceremony Of Mates got me so busy that I didn't have time for myself. Damien had to force me to rest but that was my problem.

I always had problems sleeping except that day I had a wet dream because of Maeve.

Speaking of whom, I hadn't spoken to since that day and today was the Ceremony Of Mate. It was mandatory to put on a white outfit during the Ceremony. That is how it had been since before I was even born.

I went to the town's event hall to inspect the decorations and make sure everything was in shape and came back to the pack house to dress up.

Aradia and I also hadn't spoken since the day I was attacked. But I knew she wouldn't bail out of performing the pack's Ceremony.

We had to keep her identity unknown in order not to raise fear from the pack members.
