17. An Order I Can't Refuse

I woke up this morning with a sad feeling all locked up in my chest today. Mum was at the hospital. The doctor told me she would be admitted there until it was time for her surgery. And, thinking of the events that happened yesterday, I felt so dumb.

It was all of a sudden Jackson’s face popped in my head. I saw his retreating figure on the roof top yesterday. My brain rebooted all that had happened just yesterday. I sprung up like a wild cat, running to the drawer. I opened it and sighted the white and pretty handkerchief he had told me to keep. Just at the sides of it was two initials I read out:

“J.J.” I furrowed my brows, wondering what they actually stood for. J was definitely for Jackson, but what did the other J stand for?

I thought, staring at the piece so adorably.

I placed the handkerchief in between my nasal openings. They scented exactly like Jackson which was pleasing and drawing to the senses.
