Chapter 96~

“That would be all for today, boys and girls,” I said with a smile creased on my face as I leaned by the desk in the classroom watching as they scurried off.

“Don't forget to send your assignments ASAP via email guys!!” I yelled. And just as I did, our eyes met. A familiar ache unfurled behind my rib as I stood there staring at him, not knowing what to say or do.

The buzzing sound of my phone had my attention taken away from him as I stared at my screen for a couple of minutes and then back at him.

His expression gradually morphed into stunned belief as I stared at him, holding on tight to my pile of textbooks. My heart was pounding as my fingers shook around the textbooks.

I took further steps away from the desk and headed for the door, but then I felt a hand over my wrist holding me back.

“Let go of my hand!” I shot at him, unable to meet his eyes.

“You never told me you didn't want me here, so I'm technically not going against your wishes,” He responded.

I sighed, exhaustion
