Tatum-
I waited for her to respond since I couldn’t read her expression. If she wasn’t comfortable with it, I wouldn’t push her, but I really hoped she agreed. The more time I spend with her, the more frustrated I become and I wanted to put as much distance between us as possible. I wanted her to learn how to protect herself, I just didn’t want to be the one doing it all the time.
As the minutes ticked by, I wondered if she would ever answer. She kept rubbing her hand and that smile she had earlier was now gone. Brooklyn-Just as I pulled the lasagna out of the oven, I heard a knock on the door. I figured it was probably Eric. Brooklyn-A week of training with Eric had been torture. Honing my skills as a fighter hadn’t been so bad, it was the mental and emotional turmoil I had to go through also. Suffice to say, I had overcome the majority of my fear. Taking Eric’s suggestion to heart, when we weren’t working on combat, I was trying to recognize where my fear stemmed from.My biggest obstacle hadn’t been that I was afraid of getting hurt, the pain I could handle.
