ARIANA'S POV

This encounter was inevitable. I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later and I'd mentally prepared myself for it, but I didn't think it would happen in this way. As I stared into the face of the woman who had almost destroyed my life, I realized that nothing could ever prepare me for how I was going to feel.

The memories of our past flooded my mind. It didn't help that I had forgotten about everything for years because of my amnesia. Now, it was so overwhelming and the pain was heart wrenching.

"I was right all along. It had to be you." She said after almost a minute of silence.

"Hello Eva. It's been ages."

"What are you doing back here?"

"Why can't I be here?"

"Whatever it is you're planning, you better not even think about it. Don't forget your place Ariana."

"My place? Who gets to decide where my place is? Look, I'm just here trying to live my life and pick up the pieces. I have no business with the past because I've moved on and I suggest you do the sam
