Heather’s phone began to ring. She took it out and glanced at the screen.

“My mom is calling,” she said.

“Answer it and talk to her,” I replied.

“Okay, okay. And you should go tell that girl that you’re going to help her before she packs everything up. Come on, move quickly.”

Heather left to talk to her mom while I headed towards Victoria, who was standing with the photographer and director, instructing them to pack up. My gaze traveled to the other side of the room where Declan was smirking at Victoria, probably thinking he had accomplished something. He took out his phone and started typing. I didn’t know who he was messaging, but I could guess it was probably his boss, telling him about their successful plan. I felt bad for them because I wasn’t going to let it happen.

I took a deep breath and walked straight up to Victoria. I overheard her saying, “I’ll talk to Eden about it, but for now we need to pack up.”

“No one needs to pack up until we finish the shoot,” I said from behind h
