The ride back to their home was silent. Lisa sat at the back of the car looking out the window. She was alone in her own world, her heart still thumping heavily against her chest. She didn’t know what went wrong and neither does she have an interest in it. Her parents also had not said a word to her through out the ride home.
As soon as the car stopped, she got out of the car and went straight into her room, slamming her door shut. She sat on her bed and placed her head in her hands. This was the worst day of her life. Never had she ever imagined that her parents would do that to her. The feeling of betrayal weighed heavily on her heart.
She laid back in her bed with her arm over her face, the tears going down the side of her face. Liv tried to comfort her, but she wasn't taking it. The only thing Liv could do was whine at the potential loss of their mate.
How could her parents want her to marry someone like that?
Her door opened abruptly and her father stepped into the room.
"Lisa, I need to talk to you." He said walking towards her.
She wiped her tears as she sat up and moved to the extreme end of her bed, looking away from him. She really didn't want to speak to him.
"What did you and Collin talk about when you left?" He asked and Lisa turned to him, a frown on her face.
"Really, dad. Is that what you're here to ask about? I thought you came here to explain to me what the hell was going on and why you made such a decision." She scoffed. "I've never been more disappointed in you, dad."
"I do not care whether you're disappointed in me or not, Lisa. You're going to marry Collin and that's final. Your words and fights won't change a thing. Now tell me what you talked about with Collin!” he snapped at her.
Lisa just stared at him, studying his features. She really did not want to believe that this was the father she had grown up with, the father that had always said that he loved her and would do anything for her. His face held no remorse or regret.
She looked at the door and saw her mother resting on the door frame, her arms folded in front of her. She hadn't said a word in all of this. She hadn't spoken to Lisa since that morning. She wasn't even trying to support Lisa or at least help her. Lisa nodded her head, understanding the situation.
"Well if you really want to know, Collin, your esteemed son in law, is really thoughtful to express his views on how he saw us. He made sure to let me know that all of us in our family are just low life scum that want the wealth and power that their pack has." Her father looked away, clenching his teeth.
"Oh wait, I'm not done yet. He also said the only reason he accepted me is because of how I look. And here comes the big part, he assaulted me and alsso tried to rape me.” She said, gritting her teeth in anger and betrayal.
“He pulled up my clothes and wanted to have his way with me without my consent!” She shouted with tears in her eyes.
"I'm very sure you'd like me to get married to a woman beater, right?" Her eyes narrowed at her father, sniffing in.
"That doesn't change anything." He said as he stood up from her bed, clearing his throat. "The decision has already been made. You should prepare yourself to move there." He finished, walking towards the door as he pulled his wife's hand and he shut the door.
Lisa was beyond dumbfounded. She had thought that if she brought up the fact that Colin had hit her and tried to assault her, that they would rethink their decision. The Night Shadow pack was a very wealthy pack with thousands of warriors and lots of other packs as their allies. Her parents were scared of them and she knew it, but what she never knew before was how cowardly they were.
She stood up and started pacing around in her room while biting her nails. She was thinking of a way she could get out of the situation because it was getting more serious. If she sat back and did nothing she was actually going to get married to that jerk.
'We're going to run away, and we're doing it tonight.' Liv suggested.
Lisa stopped in her tracks.
'But we have nowhere to go. If we run away, we'll just be running with no plans and I have very little money on me.'
'That doesn't matter right now, Lisa. What matters is that we do not want to mate that jerk and the only way to avoid that is by running away.'
Lisa bit down harder on her nails, really considering what she was saying for a while.
'Okay, let's do this.' Lisa finally agreed.
She searched her closet and took the little money that she had saved up with her and opened her window quietly. She jumped out of the window and ran to the fence around their house. She looked around to make sure no one was around before she jumped and climbed over the fence. Immediately her feet touched the ground on the other side of the fence, she started running.
She never looked back as Liv took over and used her wolf strength to increase their speed. She ran faster than she ever had as she blew past bushes and trees in the forest, heading towards the pack borders. She had to be quiet, at least until she left pack borders. She saw some of the warriors at the border, but managed to sneak past them without them noticing her.
Once she was far away from the borders, she started laughing, the feeling of finally being free was exhilarating. She spread her arms as she continued running. She didn't know where she was going, but wherever she found herself, she would be happy with it.
She had been running for a long while now before Liv finally withdrew her strength because they had run far enough. Lisa finally stopped and laid on the ground breathing hard. She started laughing almost maniacally. Her laughter was so loud and she didn't care that she was in the middle of nowhere, she was just happy that she had escaped.
After laughing for a while, a strong feeling of sadness took the laughter right from her lips. She sighed as she thought of her parents. They had done something bad to her, but that didn't mean she hated them or wouldn't miss them.
She got up from the ground and started to look around for any signs of civilization. She walked for a while before she heard rustling in the bushes. She got closer to it and squinted her eyes.
Immediately, someone jumped out from behind it. She fell down, her eyes widening in fear as she looked around. More people started coming out from behind the bushes and according to what they were wearing, they seemed like warriors. She gasped as she thought of the only reason that could happen.
She had entered another pack's borders.
They had their weapons pointing towards her, but they didn't say anything, like they were waiting for someone. From the darkness of the forest in front of her came a man that brought a powerful aura with him. His face was stoic and showed no emotions. The scent that came off of this man was so strong and it filled Lisa's senses.
All of a sudden, Liv was causing a ruckus in Lisa's head. It felt like everyone around her had faded away, it was just her and this strange man. She felt like her heart was about to burst with the feelings that were rushing in. She couldn't hear anything because of the blood that was rushing past her ears. The only thing she could hear was Liv screaming in her head.
"MATE!!!!"
Lisa could almost feel her heartbeat in her head and her heart in her hand as she stared at the man. The man was also staring straight into her eyes. She knew he felt it too. Liv was overjoyed and Lisa sighed in relief. She had finally found her mate that she had been looking for all this while. The man had a cold aura and seemed to be very intimidating. Judging by the way he carried himself, she could tell that he was the leader of the group of people that had surrounded her. His facial expression didn't change as he walked closer to her.Lisa smiled, expecting that he would come close and claim her like she had always imagined her mate doing, but nothing like that happened. He looked away and turned his back to her.Lisa frowned, confused. This was not what she had expected. She thought that they would be all over each other by now."Let her up." He ordered.Lisa was so busy focusing on how deep and beautiful his voice sounded that she didn't even notice the warriors grabbing her by
Lisa was curled up on the bed, trying her best not to cry. She had been devastated by what Adrien said, and even Liv wasn't taking it lightly. Lisa had never felt so down in her life. It was officially the worst day of her life. She had never had so many bad things happen to her in one day.She let out a shaky breath as she heard a knock on the door. She got up to answer it. Behind the door was a warrior."The alpha has asked me to escort you to the dining room." He said and moved back to give her space to step out. What the hell did he want from her now?She sighed and stepped out of the room, closing the door. She looked around the house as she followed the guard. The house was big and looked very luxurious. It seemed like it was Alpha Adrien's house. She followed him down the stairs to the big living room. The place was huge. The dining room was right by the living room.Alpha Adrien was now in her view, so she looked away to avoid looking at him. He was seated at the head of the d
Lisa spent the entire day going around the pack house, asking questions about Adrien. She tried her best to avoid him, not wanting to risk bumping into him while she was trying to gather information. She asked everyone she came across, from the cooks in the kitchen to the cleaners sweeping the hallways. One of the workers she spoke with was a man named Jack, who had been working in the pack house for several years, as she was told. Lisa approached him as he was taking a break outside, enjoying the fresh air, and feeling the greatness of nature."Excuse me, Jack," Lisa said, smiling politely."I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about Adrien?"Jack raised an eyebrow, looking slightly suspicious. "Why do you want to know about him?""I just want to get to know him better," Lisa said, hoping her answer sounded convincing enough.Jack shrugged. "I don't know much about him, to be honest. He keeps to himself mostly. But I have heard rumors that he was a bit of a troublemaker
Lisa's heart was pounding in her chest as Adrien's rage erupted like a volcano.“I’ll just let you know what’s really up. You sure don’t know what I’m up to and what exactly you’re into.” Adrien said to himself silently in his head, making him give out a wicked grin. She tried to explain herself, but the words got stuck in her throat, as he yelled at her, his voice like thunder in the small room. She could feel the pressure building around her, suffocating her, making her feel small and helpless.“Not again.” She said to herself."Please, Adrien, just listen to me," Lisa pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper.“Listen? Well I’m listening. I’m ready to hear another one of your excuses. You’ve tried so hard to speak but you haven’t, I think you’re the one who’s hesitant. The lies you’re trying to process, how about them? Guess it’s not so easy when the confrontation comes this sooner than you had anticipated!” He rapped, not giving her a chance to even prover she wasn’t up to anythin
Lisa blinked, trying to clear her mind, but the throbbing in her head was too much to bear. Adrien's voice sounded distant, muffled, like he was shouting at her from the other end of a tunnel."Are you even listening to me?" he barked, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her up from the floor.“Huh? What’s going on again? What now?” She asked herself very silently but still unconsciously.Adrien sneered at her, his grip on her arm tightening."You think you can just ignore me like that? You think you're better than me?" he spat, his eyes flashing with anger.“You’ll never learn. Pain never gets to reach you any lesson. Experience never gets to make you wiser, not even by the slightest. You’re so annoying!” He lamented.Lisa's heart raced in her chest as she tried to pull away from him, but his grip was too strong."N-no, I don't think that," she stuttered, her voice barely above a whisper. She was just getting to know that it was her Adrien had been taking to after all these while.Ad
Lisa woke up that morning feeling anxious and unsure of what was going to happen. “Another miserable day in an endless life show of agony!” She soliloquized, which she gave out a huge sigh shortly after. The events of the previous day had left her feeling hopeless and trapped. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being held captive, and her mind was constantly racing with thoughts of escape, even though nothing tangible really came across as badly as she wanted it to.She was just sitting in her cell, wondering what the next moment would fetch her this time, and that was when the sound of the knock on the door jolted her out of her thoughts. She hesitated for a moment before getting up to answer it. “Yes?! Who’s there?” She asked with a loud and audible voice. She knew for a certain that if it was Adrien, he wouldn’t even have bothered to knock. “It’s just us.” Said the voice behind the door.“Who the fuck is ‘just us’? When does all these disgusting mind upsetting even
The silence on the table weighed heavily on Lisa as she picked at her food little by little, and wished to just stop already. her appetite was far gone, or most accurately… dead. It had been replaced by a gnawing feeling of unease. “Now, what next?” She asked herself in discomfort. She looked around the dining room, taking in the opulence of the furnishings, but it did little to ease her discomfort. She heaved a very heavy sigh and thought to herself…“What a drag. Every other thing looks so good but it’s still never so good. The pain never ends I guess.” After a while, Adrien stood up and left the room, leaving her alone with her thoughts. “I hope you comply. I’ll be leaving now. Don’t mess up, as I have warned earlier.” Said Adrien one more time, before he finally took his leave. Lisa watched him go, feeling a mix of confusion and disappointment. She had hoped for some answers, some sort of understanding of why she was subjected to such cruel and unfriendly boundaries, but Adr
Lisa sat in the cramped cage, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty. She had never been in such a situation before. Well she had, but it was just getting worse, and the thought of spending the night in this small, dark space was enough to make her break down in tears.Suddenly, the door to the cage opened and Adrien walked in, his expression cold and unfeeling. “Haha! Here she is.” He laughed to ridicule her..Lisa shrank back, knowing that he was the one who had put her in there. She looked up at Adrien, her eyes wide with fear and trepidation. She knew quite very well that there was no reasoning with him, and also that there was no way to make him see that what he was doing was absolutely wrong. All she could do was endure whatever punishment he had in store for her, for the mean time at least."What… what are you going to do to me?" she asked, her voice trembling.Adrien smiled coldly. "Oh, I have a few ideas, you shouldn’t mind though," he said. "But first, I want you to und
