Unlike I expected, the kingdom of the Acorn Valley was divided into different smaller villages. It was amazingly beautiful — even more than I'd noticed it from above when I was on Roy.
Soon, led by my uncle, we arrived before our apartment. It was nothing like I'd ever imagine. Something like those ancient Chinese compounds in some movies. It had beautiful carvings here and there on the walls of both man and beast.
The compound housed several spare rooms that could house ten guests, each. In no time, I was shown the room that I'd be sleeping in. It wasn't luxurious, but was comfortable and pleasing to the eyes, nevertheless. There were empty shelves in the room, a big bed (much bigger than mine back home), and a toilet — gracefully — with a large bathtub.
I had pleaded that Roy stayed with me in the same room, of which my uncle concorded with, after much, deep contemplations. I feared that something bad might happen to my Roy; this place

Waking up, I could see some vague figures hanging over my head. Brushing my eyes, I tried to make sense of what was happening. After some quick split-seconds, my memory was in order. I could remember fainting after seeing some hideous ladies in the kitchen. At the thought of this, I quickly surveyed the faces before me. Cousin Dorothy was with a much calmer and concerned expression. In fact, she even looked like she would cry if I continued staying motionless. Seeing my eyes meet hers, she took the moment to mouth ‘Sorry’. I tried smiling, but I was left with a panging feeling in my head. It seems like I'd struck my head hard when I fainted. “Hey, mademoiselle!” said Roy, with a shaky voice. I tried telepathic conversation with him, and it — surprisingly — worked out, without my raising more pain. I said, “Hey, buddy!”; he nodded in reply. Next was Uncle Ramsey. He had a serious, yet concerned, look on his face. &nb
Knock, knock!’ Before the door, I ran my eyes around to see anything that could draw in my attention for the moment, but gave up on it, after looking around. It seemed like Bright was not contented with the silence from within the Acorn Master's office, so he made to knock on the door, for a second time. And just as he was about to do so, a young-looking man opened the door with a frown, as his head corked out. This young man seemed to be around my age. But unlike any other boy from back home, this one had horns on his head like some kind of. . . ram. “Young master, Jaiden. We seek an audience with the your father.” Furrowing his eyebrows, Jaiden declared, after observing us both, “The Acorn Master is busy right now, and wishes no one disturbs him!” Bright's eyes widened. From the look of things, he really revered this arrogant fellow. So instead of draggin
“I am Kira, Guardian of the secrets of the Royal Euphenic Blood.” I heard the same feminine voice I'd heard before, when I began visualising this vision in my subconsciousness. Turning around, my gaze fell on a woman. She had a splendid dress on, and there were lots of red flowers tucked into her hair. She smiled at me, revealing a pair of dimples on both cheeks. She seemed to be in her late forties or early fifties. “Where am I?” I asked, looking about myself at the strange realm before my eyes. “What is this place and who are you?” Smiling, Kira said, “This is the Channel of Ancient Reality which only a few gifted ones are privileged to see.” “Channel of Ancient Reality?” I was taken aback. “What does that mean?” “The Channel of Ancient Reality is a realm which has the ability to link one to events of long ago. These knowledge can faci
“Soul Drenching Squirrels?” I frowned, taken aback. Back then when I'd encountered the Acorn Master, he had mentioned something about those beasts, but of course, not many details. Could those really be what he was speaking about? My attention was redirected to those five, giant squirrels descending from the mountains towards the men. That was not really what made me entirely surprised. What did, was the mighty bellow that came from the leading animal, causing the one-third remainder of the hundred men to be dispelled from the beguilement which Kira had made on them through the use of Animal and Spirit Brotherly Illusion. The remaining few of the hundred, on realising that they had been beguiled into killing one another, their eyes were filled with fury. One of the survivals was Derizante, he was entirely abashed by the situation, as he'd boasted indifference, previously, at Kira's threat. Apart
The force made from both parties running into each other made everywhere inconspicuous by the after-effects, as though a giant tsunami had just taken place. Teacher Kira's eyes lit up all of a sudden. As if she'd just realised something, she said in a hurried voice, “Quick, look beneath this and give me a full detail of what's actually happening there?” “Huhn?” I stared at my teacher as though I was looking at a fool. She knew clearly well that the both of us could not tell what went on due to the inconspicuousness made from both parties running into each other, and their overwhelming auras making an obscure sight, so how could I possibly see beyond the denseness? “There's no time to explain, you're a possessor of the Royal Spirit Bloodline, you should be able to separate illusions from reality... Just listen, stop the face you're making. Looking intently, try to awaken your bloodline. That force that driv
The air was tense. Previously, it was only because I'd actually activated my “Eye of Insight” (the name I shall now call my new ability, after the breakthrough) that I was able to see how Kira had pulled her spirit out of her body. Despite the ravenous, tiger-like grandeur that her spirit took, a spirit was only a spirit — it carried no definite shape. An analysis of how Kira's spirit looked like is a lantern genie. Back in the realistic earth, where I came from, there was this movie called “Aladdin”. He had this blue genie that took the form of a human from head to stomach, but below that was just a free, waggling, intangibility that could be compared to the drafting smoke. That was exactly the form Kira's spirit took, save for being colourless. Despite having Eye of Insight, I could still see through her, as though she were only just... transparent. ‘Boom!’
After the passing of four more hours, I'd successfully absorbed the knowledge of every single book about beast taming, in the Beast Hall's Book Collection Vault. The fours hours I'd spent in the library, plus the one-second (two hours) in the Channel of Ancient Reality should have left me extremely tired. However, that was not the case. Instead of being weighed down by fatigue, my mind and physical body had rather been further refreshened. ‘Accepting the Acorn Master's invitation to the Beast Hall was not such a bad idea, after all,’ I told myself, after recounting all the events I'd experience. In truth, with my standing right now, I can easily brag to be more knowledgeable in the field of anything concerning beasts, and beast taming. One must know that, those books in this Book Collection Vault spanned across a hundred thousand, by estimation. It was true that humans had the ability to take in lots of knowledge without ge
“Knowledge in The Way of Savage Beasts?” I asked, feeling the agitation rising inside of me. One must understand that after utilising my Fingers of Knowledge in acquiring the knowledge of every single book currently in the Book Collection Vault, I wouldn't pale much among top-notch geniuses in the Way of Savage Beasts, yet this princess just had to pick that challenge against me. “Un,” nodded she. “Since you've already agreed to the challenge, there's no need for you to think of redrawing, it's impossible... unless you intend to apologise to all three of us princesses, right here, right now—” “That won't be necessary, let's get on with it,” I said with a smirk on my face. She probably took my astonishment for frustration, but I couldn't be bothered to explain myself. “Humph,” she sneered at me, before looking at the crowd and saying, “As we all know, Knowledge in the Way of Savage Beasts is the criteria of passing the 1-star Beast Taming examinat
