Ticks of the clock.
I opened my eyes only to find out that I'm at the hospital.
I can even smell the fumes coming out from the only God knows what kind of machine beside me.
"Alyana? Hey, you are awake, yey!" it was the small voice of Rave. She was about to leave, probably to call a nurse or to inform dad, but I grabbed her arm, "W-why, Alyana?" her voice was shaky, thinking that I gripped a little hard, I relaxed my hand.
"You don't have to be afraid, sweet heart. I just want to ask...w-what happened? Why am I here?"
"Last night, when you are heading to your room, you are looking too seriously at something in your palm. Then after that, you wailed 'aaaahhh' and then you suddenly fainted" her eyes glimmered in tears, "And oh.
Life holds a lot of mystery. Truths that one can know only by revelation, but still cannot fully understand. The puzzle of how we are created, how plants and animals work magnificently in nature, and the list goes on, which science, from decades and centuries ago tries to explain. But still, everything points out to a powerful being called God in every end and conclusion. In my case, traveling to another body of a different time was a big box of mystery. To decades ago, I wanted to be the most popular writer even after ages will wilt off. Researching too much and filling my brain with facts and ideas, I didn't even enjoyed my school life, because every now and then, acceleration program will always be on my side. I never thought that environment, almost everything, would change highly in just the interval of twenty years. I saw random names of writers and scientis
Time can really be playful sometimes. It can be an enemy or a friend, well, it depends. The clouds in the sky was clustered like grasses and stones. The weather hailed a mellow ambient.I glanced at the device infront of me: 3:00 PM. I sighed and laid my head on the head rest of the car. I ran my hand over my jaw and tried to steady my thoughts. I wanna focus at the moment. I can't take out the possibility that Brylle might be here, on the current generation, but I can't neglect the probability that he might not.Hero subtly looked at me."Do you have any problem?" He managed to say that while controlling the car to take a sharp turn on the right."I just want to ask, why aren't yo
It was a rainy afternoon. When I'm spending my time in my usual routine: reading inside the library."HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA REALLY BRO?! YOU MUST BE INSANE""Ssshhhhhh" every student inside the hall hissed in chorus.I plugged my earphones and played my favorite piano piece which is the 'Tiger'"She's a nerd, bro! Don't tell us you're willing to hang out with a girl like that, HAHAHAHA"My focus was altered. One more time, bastards, I'll make you crawl out in this library."HAHAHAHAHA, YOU'RE A TOTAL IDIOT, BRYLLE---""Don't you know how to read? I think that signage was big e
"Yna?.....Hey, Yna" Hero waved his hand inches away from my face."Oh, sorry. I-I just remembered something....." I didn't notice that I'd been staring on the blank wall for almost a minute or more."Never mind, try this dress" he moved aside to reveal a gradient from black to white tulle gown, laced with sequin in its basque waistline. It was an off-shoulder detailed with an applique art like a starry night. It looks so lovely in its floor-length on the dummy. Elegance was radiating from its A-line shape."Is it a thumbs up, Yna? Can't I hear a thank you?" He said leaning towards my direction, still glued beside the mannequin. The skinny woman, which I tagged as the 'head worker' went out from the door where Hero origin
I took another sip from the coffee on my mug. It's Saturday, the cloud bursted in tears. That's how life works at times, reminding that it's fine to break out, even the clouds cry when it becomes too heavy.I planted myself on a chair, raising both of my feet intertwined above the table with rapt attention on the view outside.I wiped the foggy window using my hand clenched into a fist trying to discern more of what's going on. Nothing, just grey things and shadows walking to and fro on the road. I stared a little longer and got tired of the grayness.I sat my mug on the table, vapor rising from the creamy liquid inside, creating a mist on the mirror.I bit my lip intensely, just enough for me to feel the faint pain, but I didn't care, my mind was busy searching for an
The wet and cold air welcomed my bare skin, it entered in my system as dank air, it made me a little dizzy. It's the scent originating from the big air-conditioning machines all over the ceiling. The perfume of the man beside me masked the unwelcoming scent. He walked ahead of me so I just followed him. He's our driver, more like a father of two children in posture. He walked in a professional way, without his driver's uniform, I might have thought that he's someone else. He's the exact man who horned loudly about thirty minutes ago.Another quick scratch resounded on the other side of the door that I'm clutched in right now."What the hell was that?" with all my might, I tried to rotate the knob but I failed: it was also locked!
I followed the lead of Rave, she's holding the edge of sleeve down my wrist. I'm scarcely paying attention to the things around while captivated on fastly typing on the phone. The environment felt even colder right now.The conversation promised a temporary respite of time, courtesy of unclear vision of this man I'm talking at, we're currently trying to picture out what are the succeeding events after the gunshot, he pleaded for my help, I just can't say no now that I have this gut feeling that I can help him.But it seems like the main problem was he can't hold clear phantasm, making it harder for me to figure out what was the real case.I closed my eyes for more or less than three seconds to regain touch of the things that happened earlier.
I put my foot above the table whilst sitting lazily on the gray painted chair.Time check: it's 6:45 AMI don't usually do that, but today, I decided to be Alyana. I'll try my best to be her. So I wagged my feet in a slow tempo, my stares are pasted on the blank space of the wide and elegant wall.I just arrived in the classroom, nobody's here yet, maybe because it's still early. And let's take into consideration that today was Monday.I took another sip on the bottled juice tightly clutched on my hand.Thirty minutes of silence had passed and finally, I heard faint thumps and rapid taps of the shoes along the corridor just parallel to our room. It grew louder and louder until I realized that the raps we're already reverberat
