Chapter 13

Elena's POV

So as he decided, we are going to get engaged today and I am not able to find words to express exactly what is going within me. 

The room allotted to me for getting ready is completely white still I feel like I am sitting in the dark and the winds are going against me. It seems like it is the darkest evening of my life.

There is chaos within me, silence outside, the heart is empty, a pool of emotions forming in my sights. 

My brother's condition is still serious and I am sitting here all dolled up in my engagement dress which was selected by him. I had no say in selecting my dress and I didn't want it either. 

The dress that I am wearing is a rich satin dress with a cutout front and a glittering band that looks like waist jewelry. The dress is stunning and soft yet I am not feeling comfortable in it. Every part of it is stinging me because the dress is provided by him.
