Chapter 17

Two hours of silence. The sun baking their faces. Sweat running down. Ethan suddenly comes to a stop. Climbing off his horse and walking towards a tree sniffing the air. Faces going left and right, up, and down. Sniffing the tree alongside the road. He froze.

“Mia.” The words left my mouth softly.

“Ethan, what is the hold-up?” Kylo’s yelled from the front of the pack.

“I smell her.” My words were still soft.

“What? Speak up, boy. I’m getting old my hearing isn’t what it used to be.” Kylo started coming closer to me.

“I have her scent. She was her. This must be the way they went.” Running towards my horse and quickly jumped on her and started sprinting with her.

The rest of the pack started to follow Ethan. The wind blew through their hair. The cold of the wind was just what they needed.

“If we hurry, we might catch up with them!” I yelled from the front of the pack.

“Young Alpha, slow down! It might be a trap!” Ignoring what Kylo had to say. I continued sprinting.
