Chapter 56

Lance got shot, and I was just surprised when he fell down, so even though I was struggling, I tried to support him. I also shouted there for help, and Julius, who shot him with two other men, ran away from there.

I was crying there because I was afraid of what might happen to Lance.

"Lance!" I called him because I could see his eyes were closed.

"Why did you do that?" I said while crying.

I don't know what happened next, and I don't know how we got out of there. I just realized that we were already in the hospital while Lance was lying on the rescue bed. I helped push him there while crying until he was taken into the operating room.

I was about to go inside, but Josiah blocked my way. He was the one who helped me earlier so that we could bring Lance to the hospital right away. We also called them Stella, so they wouldn't worry too much about why we suddenly disappeared from the bar.

"I'll take care of him, Eli. You can't enter the operating room because you've been drinking,"
