Fighting Alongside Her

Ryker roamed the area, anxiously tracing her scent through the air. Relief flickered inside him as he finally detected a whiff of her scent. He followed the scent into the woods. The green span had turned crimson, littered with countless bodies. His steps stumbled upon numerous corpses, some belonged to vampires, and some were of wolves. He frantically scanned his surroundings. Amidst the battle, his focus was solely on Rosalie. His senses became alert when he heard a faint rustling sound. Staring ahead and jaw squared, he waited for the attacker to reveal himself. Unsurprisingly, a vampire emerged from the shadows behind him. A sickly grin spread across his face as he lunged towards him. But before he could sink his teeth into his neck, Ryker reached over his shoulder and grabbed the back of his head with the speed of lightning.

Without a flinch, Ryker pulled the leech forward and tossed him to the ground. Reaching out, he clawed his heart out of his chest in one quick motion.
