[POV Adrian]
-----
I beat the bald man until he collapsed to the ground. His friends swarmed him like ants.
"Enough Ad, stop it!" asked Fany.
"They should apologize to you. "No one should insult you," I said, stroking Fany's soft porcelain cheek with the back of my finger.
"There's no need; what matters is that you're okay."
This kind of attention melts my heart every time.
I spun around to face the demons. "Come on, admit you offended my girl."
His pals were about to launch an assault. I kicked one of them. I stepped forward to keep Fany safe from lecherous men.
They're in a panic. One of them drew a penknife from his pocket. It's not good, because I'm unarmed, and fighting might injure me.
Fortunately, the sound of police car sirens stopped them.
The police car came to a halt on the side of the road. In a relaxed tone, the officer in the front seat greeted us.
"Is everything all right there?"
"Everything is under control, Mr Policeman!" said one of the thugs, raising his thumb high. He and his pals took the bald from me.
Fany dragged me into the car. Her wailing appeared worried, and her voice soared anxiously.
"Oh my God, what have you done?" She wiped the blood from my lips with a tissue.
"You shouldn't be behaving that way." She raises her voice. "How come you're always causing trouble?"
I responded, "Okay, I'll let them take you down a deserted alley the next time. I'll let you know what problems you'll face if I don't come to your aid."
"Yes, but you can drag me away; you don't have to serve drunk people."
Fany began the lecture by advising me. She's always been this way. Every time I fight, I always come out on the losing end. Despite the fact that I did it to protect her pride.
My car was parked next to a police car. We were being watched by an elderly police officer with a mustache.
"How are you doing, son?"
"Yes," I said. "It was noisy because only the girl next to me was practicing singing."
The cop laughed with his friend, while Fany remained silent.
"I've never seen you guys around here before. Could you please show me your identification? "questioned the cops .
Fany handed me her ID to give to the cops.
The card was read by the cops and then returned to us.
"UCLA students aren't usually in this area. There are a lot of armed gangsters around here, and they're probably carrying firearms."
"Yes, sir, thank you," I said politely.
"Then allow us to accompany you out of this area. Come on, let's go."
I took the car to Glendale. The police car followed us for a few minutes before turning at an intersection. The cops waved as they activated the greeting siren."There are benefits to being a UCLA student," Fany said while listening to country music. She lectured in hushed tones for what seemed like an eternity, and I don't remember a single word she said. Her voice is very appealing to me. It's even better than my favorite Smooth Jazz.We arrived in Glendale just as the skies darkened after navigating the busy roads. The street lights were bright, and everything was quiet. The Subaru Outback is parked in front of a simple home. Alfred's automobile. Fany grabbed my hand as I was about to fall.
"Please understand that I want you to be nice in front of Auntie."
We walked together to my house after I nodded. Fany had previously brought two large bags containing her groceries.
"Give it to me." Everything is now in my hands.
I checked the contents of the plastic bag as I walked. She had purchased cosmetics and toiletries, as well as new towels. Is she ready to use all of this?
Fany rang the bell as she approached the house's terrace.
Kimberly pushed open the door. A girl in her senior year of high school. She's my sister, Glendale's sweetest and most beautiful girl.
"Fany, Sis!" She cheerfully hugged Fany, kissed her left and right cheeks, and then looked at me with a pout. "Mother is inside, waiting. Please come in."
"Has dinner been prepared?" I inquired, eliciting a nudge from Fany.
"Watch your mouth, idiot," Fany said as she took the bag of fruit and stepped in first.
I didn't want to go in, preferring to sit on the terrac's lounge chair. My legs were stretched out, taking in the sound of summer crickets and the scent of cedar carried by the warm breeze.
What should I do now, Dad? I'm afraid to face Mom right now.
****
[POV Fany] ----- The scent of cedar wood. The living room has a squeaky floor. Wall made of drab wood. Every step into the Beneds' house brings back memories. My steps ceased. Behind the long sofa is a special spot where I blew my first kiss. Oh, those memories that make my heart skip a beat. Oh my goodness, why am I even thinking about it? There are far more important things to consider. My path takes me to the dining room. Alfred sat on the steps, limply leaning against the wall, and raised three fingers to greet me. While Aunt rose from her dining chair to greet me. "Fany. Let's take a seat first." Her skin is sagging, and his black hair is being replaced by gray hair. The rest of the beauty, however, was painted on his thin face. While kissing her cheek, I placed the plastic-filled fruit on the empty chair. "Where is Adrian?" she ask. "Perhaps he's fucking the neighbor's girl," Kimberly specu
[POV Fany] ----- "Next door neighbor came home," Kim explained. Adrian rose from his seat after a long period of silence. "Where are you going, Adrian?" Auntie inquired. "We're looking for the wind." Alfred left without saying goodbye and went to the second floor. Auntie. All because of my presence on the night of the engagement. What on earth was I thinking? "I appreciate you looking after Adrian," she said. "He must have bothered you." "It's fine." "I'm perplexed about Adrian. He's been out of control since his father left. You are free to leave him if you so desire." "What exactly do you mean, Auntie?" "Adrian may not be able to change, but he will always be your burden. Now is the time for you to depart." "No, Adrian is a good man; he just hasn't found his calling in life. I'm sure he'll be a different person when he has a goal." Aunt gave a shaky nod. "I don't want to
[POV Adrian] ----- Sitting in the car, I raised my feet. When Father is gone, the sky, moon, and stars remain the same. Okay, I was wrong; I fucked Melisa, but did they ever consider me? Mother's attitude shifted dramatically after Father's death. She's a thorn in my side. She was always by Alfred's side. Who am I to judge her? The sound of the door opening caused me to turn my head, only to see Alfred emerge from it, carrying two bottles of beer. "Would you like to drink?" he inquired. Who doesn't want a free beer? I let him in by opening the door. We drank cold beers while enjoying the warm evening. "Listen—" Alfred said. "No, you pay attention. I'm sorry for fucking Melisa. Everything is clear to me." Alfred nodded and took my cigarette. As he spoke, he lit a cigarette. "Go ahead, I heard." "For Fany, I fucked Melisa." "Fany?" He laughed uncontrollably. But, seriously, I said.
[POV Adrian] ----- Fany jumped into the car, her nose tingling like a skunk. "Are you smoking?" My head shook. "It wasn't me, but Alfred." "Do you believe I believe?" She stroked my skin. What do you want from her? She groped through the pockets of my jacket and pants. Is she aware that those long, soft hands pique my interest? "Wait a minute, Fany!" She paused for a moment, her eyes piercing. "Can you tell me where you got your pack of cigarettes?" I didn't want to admit it, but my eyes, which were fixed on the dashboard, betrayed me. He squeezed a pack of cigarettes as if it were cow's milk. He had the audacity to toss my cigarette outside. I've squandered ten dollars. "OK," she said casually. "Okay you said? What's the deal?" "So what were you two talking about?" she asked after taking a sip of cola. "Oh, who is that little meerkat?" "You guys spread my name arou
Fany At least after making him promise, he had something to hold onto. I stepped into the house, to the room on the second floor, the room I used to live in. I yawned widely pushing my hands forward. The trip to Glendale, this morning's trouble, made me shatter. A soft mattress could make me soar to heaven now. Suddenly Kim stopped me on the stairs. She stood like a superhero with his arms crossed it front of her chest. Her voice was harsh. "Where are the pillows and blankets?" "What?"i ask, confusedly "Why did you make them all disappear? Where did you put them?" "Them? Uhm, oh, the pillow and blanket? I left it for Pig outside." Kimberly's sullen face lasted a few seconds, then she chuckled. I smile. She led me into the room. She had prepared everything. Two mattresses put on the floor, she lying down pulling me to sleep. "Is there a way to get Adrian to keep his promise?" I asked, casu
Fany The morning sun in Glendale feels warmer when it hits your face. Kim's humming voice made me open my eyes lazily. He's wearing clothes. "Morning sis. Let's go take a shower, Alfred will be back in town this morning, his work awaits." "Oh?" I sat rubbing my eyes. "Where's Adrian?" "What?" asked Adrian, standing wrapped in a towel, his hands folded against the wall of the door. "Miss?" "Put on clothes, it's disgusting to see you like that," I said. "Yeah, disgusting, but you don't close your eyes." I threw a pillow in his face, causing him to chuckle away into the next room. You son of a bitch, wherever he is he always makes me angry. After taking a shower, I put on new clothes, a Sabrina T-shirt with long jeans. I stepped outside, to find Alfred was dressed in a work uniform, a black suit. He cuddles with his aunt, Adrian, and Kim. "Adrian
Adrian Changes cannot be flashed. Good change is gradual, comes from within. I tried for that. I looked everywhere for work, but to no avail. Who wants to accept Adrian Bener, a law student who has not yet graduated. Special science law, applied science that can only be used in a special place. Of course I could work part time, but… I'm not cut out to be a cashier, or a subway attendant. While trying what's wrong with relaxing, right? This afternoon I was jogging on the beach near my apartment, wearing long training pants and a sleeveless hood. Meanwhile, there was a sexy woman who attracted me. She is in a bikini, defiant chest, invites her pet to play on the beach. She's indifferent to me, but I'll make her care in a special way. I put the big sausage in my trouser pocket. I deliberately ran slowly near the tanned girl. Not to get her attention, but her stupid pet.
Adrian "Your friend?" Minerva whispered, glancing at the lollipop next to me. "Yes, that is so." He is my friend, a good friend. We promised to go to art college together, but because my sister forced me to major in law, we split up. We're still friends, just not as close as we used to be. "What's the matter, Carl?" I asked, signalling the bartender to bring a pint for my best friend. Carl's laughter was cut off, a sign that he was happy. “I heard you needed a job, well, I have some good news for you, friend.” Looks like this is going to be long. Poor Minerva, with clothes like that, the wind would love to touch her body. “Minerva, can you wait in the car? It won't take long." "Sure, why not." He stepped like a duck. The ass moves left and right as if inviting to be squeezed. "Your boyfriend?" asked Carl, his eyes fixed on the lump." “Well, just acquaintances. You like?" "Yeah." H
