Chapter 163: Contractions

Arya’s POV

“Hang in there”

I heard with a pat on my cheek before seeing Damien’s figure fade through the door.

The empty room finally gave me the courage to raise the quilt shielding my lower body. I glanced at the wet spot on my bed and deduced that my water broke! The thought of this threw me into a frenzy.

To be honest I don’t think I’m ready for labor, heck! No one’s ever ready! Still, isn’t this a bit early? I know the estimate isn’t entirely correct but I’m supposed to be due five days from now!

I’ve been doing a terrible job preparing myself mentally, now what?

In the blink of an eye my room was swamped with preparatory equipments making me feel even more nervous. Two midwives were present and one of them came to verify my status while the other was setting up the scene.
