RICHARD’S POV

At this point, I was fed up. I didn’t know what to believe again. I wanted to believe everything B said. I really do. But the circumstances surrounding the situation were making me think otherwise.

For this once I entrusted Heather to her care hoping that would help them get along since B didn’t really like her much. I wanted them to get to know each other more so there wouldn’t be any future issues while Heather stayed with us, but it only resulted in this. To Heather missing. Again.

Last night, B was bent on us renting an apartment for her in a further part of the city, and sending her over there. I revolted against the idea because that wasn’t the right thing to do for Heather’s well-being. Then this morning, I noticed her strange new character. She was suddenly okay with Heather staying.
