Chapter 32 - Logan
I was on edge the moment David and Mikali left my office. “She’ll be fine. David will conceal her scent. You really did think this through when you choose who to guard her,” John nodded.
“I do that on occasion. And this is the safety of my mate we’re talking about,” I snorted. I won’t take chances with Aurelia’s safety.
David was chosen not only because he has authority in the human world as a state trooper. Plus, he is mated, so I don’t have to worry about him hitting on my mate.
Mainly he was selected for the special gift his family has. They can conceal their scent and the scent of another. So hiding her scent will be an added security.
The last thing I need is anyone sniffing her out. She could get mistaken for a rogue even if she doesn’t smell as putrid as one. Or someone from a neighboring pack tries to force her to join their pack.
