When dad said he could smell a woman on me, I knew for sure it was her and not just a dream. My spitfire of a mate actually kissed me and held onto me when she thought I wouldn't know.

My mouth twitched into a grin, thinking about how heavenly those kisses felt. Meanwhile, my dad was grilling me like I was some captive in the dungeons. He was pushing my patience to the farthest limit.
