Chapter 9

Although Mira had only known Anabelle for a few days, she had come to find her as a fast friend. She could hunt as well in her human form and her wolf form, and Mira had found her to be quite an asset. She could identify a lot of the plants that Mira needed for her poultices and elixirs, and she even knew how to grind them too, which made her a perfect friend for Mira, and a very useful one too.

They would go down the river for dinner every night, searching for fish or freshly wounded animals that were too close to death to be saved.

On one of their walks along the river banks, Mira stared into the running clear water only to see Anabelle's reflection looking right back at her. Their aim that night was to get food for dinner, but Mira wanted to know who she had been sharing her home with a little better.
