The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across my bedroom as I stirred awake. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I noticed a small package wrapped in colorful paper sitting on my bedside table. Confusion immediately clouded my thoughts. Who could be leaving gifts for me? I couldn't recall any upcoming occasions that would warrant such gestures.

Picking up the package, I examined it closely, searching for any clues to its origin. There was no name, no note, just a beautifully wrapped box tied with a satin ribbon. As I carefully untied the ribbon and peeled back the paper, my curiosity intensified. Inside was a delicate necklace, adorned with a sparkling pendant. It was stunning, but it only deepened the mystery.

Downstairs, Chris and Monica were already bustling about the kitchen, preparing breakfast. I joined them, still mulling over the unexpected gift.
