Lily thought she was going to faint at the sight of the pool of blood that was gushing out of her husband. She couldn't tell where the shot had hit him because his chest and arm were soaked through his shirt.

The bastard was grinning like he had been victorious and was now aiming his gun at Lily. Roman pushed her out of the way and dodged the bullet before it was shot.

That must have angered the stranger because he was now making his way towards them.

"Put your hands up, your weapons on the floor." A deep voice bellowed and within seconds, a few police officers were flooding the small shack. 

Whoever he was, he was astonished to see that the police was here and so he acted in shock, trying to run out even knowing it was impossible.

He aimed at one officer but a colleague was faster and shot at his hand, causing the gun to fall out of his grip.
