CHAPTER THIRTY

RONIN

I felt so tired as I made my way back to my chambers, ignoring the greetings from the guards around me. I didn't want to hear any voices now, because the voices in my head nearly drove me crazy.

I had been working for a very long time, and it was gradually beginning to take a toll on my nerves, so all I wanted at this point was some rest and respite away from the things that nearly drove me insane.

There had been a lot of arrangements going on lately- the sightings at the Pack border that the guards have been following ever since, the rogue tracks that proved a potential threat, the preparations for upcoming Pack meetings in our Region and rebuilding a lot of fallen structures and monuments.

I was supposed to oversee and approve all these, without anyone's help, and I guess that was the reason I felt this way. Grabbing the door to my chambers, I flung it open before walking inside in haste. Banging the door close, I immediately grabbed the button of my suit and had it undone
