Giselle's POV.The familiar smell hit my nose, and I shifted in fear, and I was sweating profusely. My breathing turned erratic, as the memory of that unfortunate evening flooded my mind, and my eyes got misty with tears. ‘'It’s him!’ I screamed in my head. I wanted to look sideways but I did not have the courage to do that. I kept my eyes on the screen, and pretended like I was okay.“Are you okay?” Mrs Cruz asked, and I nodded at her. “Are you sure? You are sweating profusely,” she said worriedly. And I shook my head. “It is the heat,” I said awkwardly. “Take this,” the man who was just beside me said, taking out a portable electric fan and his hoarse voice made me shiver in fear, and that convinced me that he was the stalker from the other day. “Huh? I'm fine,” I said, avoiding making eye contact with him. “Mr Clark, you are here,” Mrs Cruz said, and I froze for a while. Then it made sense when the stalker said that I abandoned him. So, Mr. Clark from my previous place of work,
Bryan's POV.I dropped Giselle at the hall, and I drove to the parking lot. I sat inside the car waiting for her, but I got tired and decided to go for a walk, using that opportunity to look for the stalker.I got down from the car, and walked towards the gate. “Mr Lopez,” I heard, and I turned around to check the owner of the voice. Then , a man in his sixties approached me with a smile.“Good afternoon Mr Edward,” I said, because I recognized him right away. “How have you been?” He asked, and I smiled politely.“Fine,” I said. “What brought you here? Are you here to see me?” he asked, and I shook my head. “No, I have business with someone here, that's why I'm here,” I said politely, and he nodded at me.“How is your father?” He asked. “He is fine as well,” I said, and he smiled. “My regards to him, it has been a long time since we caught up,” he said, trying to make me fix an appointment for him.“Yes, he would also love to play golf with you sometime,” I said, and he smiled at me.
Giselle's POV.Bryan confessed and I didn't know if I was angry or embarrassed. “Since when?” I asked surprisingly. And he made eye contact with me. “Is that necessary?” He asked, and I nodded. “Before you know,” he said, and I gasped. 'What? But how?” I asked myself. “How did ___” I was saying, but I got interrupted by a call. I checked the caller ID, and it was Mrs Cruz. I picked it, wondering why she called.“Hello,” I said, and waited for the person from the other end to talk. “Mrs Albert, are you home already?” She asked from the other end, and I was surprised to hear such a question from her. “No, not yet,” I said. “That's great, your attention will be needed here, they need lecturers from your school,” she said from the other end, and I squeezed my face. “Is it necessary?” I asked. “I think, yes,” she said slowly from the other end.“Okay, I will be there soon,” I said, and ended the call. “Mr Lopez, can you please go back to the hall,” I said, and he made a U-turn without
Giselle's POV. All my body was trembling, and seeing a smile made me want to lose hope. The only thing I could think of was Bryan, is the only one that could save me, I prayed that he would appear, and save me from this trauma. “Don't come near me!” I screamed again. But he kept coming closer, he bent to my level, I wanted to attack him, but he outsmarted me. He pinned my hand to a car, and he smiled like a maniac. “Why are you pushing me away? You want us,” he said, and I looked confused. “What are you saying? Us?” I asked, and he smiled. “Yes, we were close before, weren't we?” he asked. And I looked at him like someone who has lost it. “That was all your wishful thinking, you crazy bastard! Go see a doctor,” I said, and he hit my face with a resounding slap. “Ahhh!” I winced in pain. “Did I hurt you? I did not want to hurt you, you pushed me to,” he said. ‘'He is crazy,' I said inwardly. “Did it hurt?” He asked, and he brought out a duct tape. “What are you doing?!” I
Bryan's POV. She got down from the car, and I drove back to the parking lot. I walked towards the hall then I saw Mr Edward. “Mr Lopez, you are still around,” he asked, and I smiled. “Yes, how was the program?” I asked. “It went well,” he said, and I smiled lightly. “That's great to hear,” I said. “Of course,” he said. “Then,” I said, and bowed slightly. I turned to leave, but I halted my steps after hearing his voice. “If you don't mind, Will please have a cup of coffee with me, Mr Lopez,” he requested. And I checked my wrist watch. I did not want to make Giselle wait. “Fifteen minutes,” I said, and he nodded. “Shall we?” He said, then we went to his office. We sat down, and we were served by his secretary who was sending me an uncomfortable gaze, but ignored it, because people throw themselves at big shots regardless of their age. “I must say, your office is gorgeous. Mr Edward,” I said, and he smiled. “You are too kind, Mr Lopez,” he said, and I nodded. “We are not h
Bryan's POV.“Who?!” I screamed, and the man jerked up from the bed. I looked at Giselle's state and I was furious. I ran towards the man and kicked him hard before he could process what was happening. “Ahhhhhhhhh!” He grunt in pain, and stood up immediately to attack me, but I dodged him. I kept hitting, and made him lose his balance, and he fell on the ground. I bounced on him and punched him repeatedly, and he started to bleed and didn't stop because of my anger. “What did you plan to do?” I asked, and he smiled like a maniac. And that made me lose my control. I punched his face and I almost damaged it.“Stop! Stop hitting him,” Giselle said, and I stopped. And the police arrived at that time. Because I called them when I was on my way to the basement.“Mr Lopez, are you hurt?” one of the policemen asked. “No, that’s him,” I said, pointing at the sociopath. They walked to him, and arrested him. They took him out, and I told them to wait outside.I walked towards Giselle that was
Giselle's POV.When I saw Bryan coming in my scattered hope was rebuilt. He ran towards the stalker, and started hitting him. I didn't know he was that strong, I did not want to tell him to stop, but then the man was acting like someone who was going to die anytime soon.“Stop! Stop hitting him,” I said, and he stopped. But then I heard a loud footsteps coming closer, and I covered my face. They came in, and it turned out to be the police men, and I guessed that Bryan was summoned. They asked hurt, and he replied effortlessly. They arrested the stalker, and they all left like that was someone's order. Bryan came closer to me, and looked at me worriedly. “I am sorry,” he said, coming closer to me , and I nodded. ‘'It was never your fault,' I said inwardly, and wanted to cry thinking of what could have happened if he didn't show up.“It's okay, I'm here now,” I said, holding my hands. “I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left the spot, I am sorry,” he said, feeling sorry, and I couldn't believ
Giselle's POV.We went to the car, and he started driving. We did not talk since we got inside the car. And I didn't have the strength to start a conversation. I faced that kind of experience and I did not even have the support of my so-called husband. I was down and I had time to even chat. But then I remembered something, So I decided to ask Bryan.“Can I ask you something?” I asked, and he nodded at me. And I went silent for a while. “Go on,” he said, telling me to talk, then I sighed heavily. 'I hope he says the truth' I thought.“How did you know that he was the stalker from the other day?” I asked, and he did not say anything. “Huh? You recognized him earlier, and you did not seem surprised when you entered the basement,” I said, and he cleared his throat.“How did you even find me? Because my phone was switched off, and you don't even have my number, how were you able to do it? How did you know him? He has never been to your school before, right?” I asked hurriedly, and parked
