“Why are you sending me back?” I sobbed, my hands on my folded knees as I looked up to our creator.

“I'm not sending you back, child. You just… never truly left them,” The goddess wiped my tears. “Not to mention, there's someone waiting for you out there.”

“ Who? Killian? Didn't he die from the attack?”

“He was saved on time and he's waiting for you to wake up and recognize him.

“ Is he my… mate?” I asked with a held breath but she just chuckled and gave me a peck on the forehead.

“Return, child. All will be known in due time.”

As I stirred from the depths of unconsciousness, my eyelids fluttered open, and the harsh brightness of the hospital room assaulted my senses. Blinking away the haze, I tried to make sense of my surroundings. The sterile scent of disinfectant filled the air, mingling with the faint beeping of machines nearby.
