Chapter Thirteen

Shannon’s POV

“Shannon?”

I heard my name being called as I blinked rapidly, trying to regain control of my reality. It’s been a while since I left myself consumed by thoughts from the past but it had happened today.

I turned my attention back to Robin, who was still in the room, wearing a look of concern on his face.

“Yes? I’m sorry, I lost track of time. Did you say something?”

“I was watching your face contort and the expressions were mainly ones of anguish. Did something bad happen, Shannon?” Robin asked me.

I opened my mouth to speak but I snapped it shut, deciding to pick my next words carefully. I hadn’t known that he had been watching me out during the times I was zoned out while he had continued talking to me and I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to be impressed or feel bare.
