Chapter Sixty

Ricky’s POV

I stared out into the distance as I watched the starry night. It’s been a whole day since I spoke to Shannon on behalf of my brothers about our idea of proposing to her to keep her at our side.

I was hoping that my gut had been right and she would’ve seen my letter by now but I didn’t put a lot of thought into it as she could’ve easily ignored it as well and he would've had no idea that she did. The earlier he could learn to detach from the classism that threatened to harm his chances of becoming Alpha, the better it would be for him and his brothers as well.

I knew that making that proposal in an impromptu would hurt my brothers as well but it was a decision that I had to make for all of our sakes.

We couldn’t continue like this, we weren’t certain about what we even wanted and while I had eventually come around to decide for myself and my brothers, I understood why Shannon had decided to stop acting as if her life depended on us literally.
